The PhD in Integrative Medicine and Healing with an Emphasis in Bio-Medical Nutrition
Brief Introduction
Biomedical Nutrition is not just about basic nutrition, it’s a system of combining different protocols to bring the whole body mind and spirit into complete balance. Too often healing professionals focus on only one area, excluding themselves from potentially vital information to be used in service of their patients. The healers of ancient times would take in “the whole being” granting them the deepest possible insights and understandings regarding those they would serve, a concept western medicine with its areas of fragmentation or “specialization” has yet to fully arrive at.
The clash between conventional and alternative medical systems is leaving many patients falling between the cracks. We will explore what can be done nutritionally to ensure that treatments from any medical methods are complemented and do not unnecessarily confuse or suppress the delicate balance of the brain and body but instead, allow the balanced realization of full personal potential that is only possible in the integration of a healthy body and mind.
